Two documents have come to my attention that provide significant guidance and recommendations for successful district implementation of Next Generation Science Standards.

Achieve has released the NGSS District Implementation Indicators, a document outlining important indicators of successful NGSS implementation at the district level and highlighting examples of measurable action steps that districts can take to clearly define and achieve desired implementation goals.

Additionally, the National Research Council’s Guide to Implementing the Next Generation Science Standards is an extremely useful resource, providing key elements for district leaders to consider for successful implementation of NGSS.
