EDU Connecting With Families

Discover Virtual Road Trips! I recently received a wonderful email from a parent who uses my website and resources for her home-schooled children. Her story is very poignant to me, as is the excellent digital resource her children were able to find.

“Hi Dean! I hope you’re doing well! My name is Andrea and I’m working at home while my two kids are in online schooling …This pandemic has been super stressful and chaotic, but my husband, the kids and I have really enjoyed all of the time we have been able to spend together. Between backyard games, movie nights outside, and crafts and activities (our favorite is tie dye clothing), we’ve actually been having a lot of fun! Since we are now in full swing of the fall season and the school year, I told the kids I would be finding some fun (and educational) games and activities to do inside.

The STEAM at Home page led me to some awesome educational games and activities sites! This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this page. What a huge help for families! My kids, Austin and Lane, were really excited to find some new indoor activities and they found an awesome virtual road trips page! https://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/a_virtual_car_trip_through_the_usa.html

I’m really proud of the kids for finding an educational page, and I can’t believe they did some research all on their own! They have already shared it with all of their friends and they seem to be having a blast with it too! Thanks again for all of your help!…Be well, Andrea.”
